The first thing you notice when arriving to Gramond is a large building with three wings which is the parent company of Dominicans, congregation that was founded in 1843. It is built on the site of the old castle.
In the village stands a magnificent oratory under which a Pieta, a masterpiece of sculpture from the 16th century was restored in 1997: she is a virgin tightening it against the arm of Christ, surrounded by St. John and St. Mary Magdalen. Also on this site, Paul Belmondo (1898-1982) father of the actor left a statue of the goddess of the harvest. Paul Belmondo is considered one of the leading artists of contemporary neoclassical art. He offered this work to Vincent Bourrel, great servants of the State whose wife had ties to Gramond.
