The village was once residence and lordship of the Bishops of Rodez.They occupied the castle was destroyed in 1500. The castle dates from the late 16th century or early 17th. Moyrazès also served for a long time to step on the road from Villefranche to Rodez.
Instead of St. Medard, stands a building which is the stately old prison.Reconstruction of the church of Moyrazès was ordered by the Blessed Francis d'Estaing in 1526. One can recognize its weapons on the portal and keystones.The church contains an interesting furniture pieces: paintings of the seventeenth century, the virgin and child, old as stone. The town of a large area consists of 102 villages, hamlets, places said that serving 80km of roads.
Dr. Marie Auguste Foucras, mayor of the town from 1789 to 1904, gave the names of La Fayette, Ferry, Tunis, Bizerte, Richelieu, Marengo to hamlets created during its mandate, thus offering an administered world tour and a history lesson.
